We'll cover the basics of pronunciation, formal and informal greetings, and asking and answering basic questions about yourself. ​You'll create a foundation for your grammatical understanding of the French language. Texto 1 dossiers 0-2

It's time to practice more conversational French. We're going shopping and learning how to make purchases in shops and markets, understand business hours and locations, and organize outings. Texto 1 dossiers 3-4

Build vocabulary and conversation related to describing people and places, talking about relationships, and talking about past experiences. Students should feel comfortable navigating the present tense and have a good handle on basic irregular verbs.

Practice what you've learned in real life! Engage in conversations about hobbies, past times, and daily life. Students should have completed all Beginner level classes or be at an A1 level. ​​​

Thursdays, 5:30-7pm; January 15th- March 5th
Dig deeper into expressing goals and weekend plans with the future simple tense, give advice, explore French cinema, and learn about the city of Nantes, France. The challenge will be navigating 3 verb tenses à la fois!​​ This course is designed to focus on the speaking aspects with a bit of grammar instruction. Texto 2 dossier 1

Dig deeper into exploring locations in France by learning how to choose a place to stay. Topics covered include how to search for and ask questions about lodging, comparing types of lodging, and justifying your choices. This exploration will take place in the city of Nice, France. Texto 2 dossier 2

3-5 years on Saturdays 9:30-10:15 am; 6-9 years on Saturdays 10:30-11:15 am
Series 1: January 10- March 14th
Series 2 (continuation): April 11- June 13th
Sessions will be held in French & English with a focus on transitioning away from English. We focus on songs, games, and play. Class held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in the annex room. It's the perfect time for you to explore the farmers market just outside or have a coffee in the café down the hall.
$160 per series; $300 for both
Payment is due prior to joining a group or private class. All classes are subject to a full refund 7 days before the start of class. A student-canceled registration within 7 days of a start date or after is subject to a 50% refund. Books are fully refundable if returned in their original state.

Taste French wines chosen by our hosts at Chez Nous and learn French vocabulary brought to you by us! We'll taste a few bottles and discuss expressions used to describe what we see, taste, and think as well as expressions specific to wine tasting in French.
Chandeleur Crêpe Celebration

Join us for our second annual celebration of crêpes and Chandeleur! There will be a crêpe competition with prizes, drinks, and pétanque. Weather permitting. more info TBD. This event is free for our students and their guests.
